YOU CAN HELP PROTECT THE ARCTIC

The Arctic is more threatened than ever before. You can help by supporting our partners, who are working to create lasting protections for this last great wilderness.

PROTECT AMERICA’S ARCTIC

Alaska Wilderness League is focused on protecting America’s Arctic.  It is home to polar bears as well as walrus, caribou, beluga and bowhead whales, and numerous species of birds that migrate across the United States.

HELP PROTECT THE POLAR BEAR’S HOME

WWF works in the Arctic to develop innovative solutions that are as adaptive and resilient as nature itself. One of WWF’s highest priorities in the Arctic is protecting polar bears, ice-dependent species that are the top predators in the Arctic’s marine environment.  In America, our approach includes preventing poaching, illegal trade and unsustainable tourism. In Canada, WWF is developing a management plan for the “Last Ice Area,” a natural “safety net” of ice in the High Arctic of Canada and Greenland that scientists believe may persist longer than the ice anywhere else.
